The launch of Seyi Shay’s debut album “Seyi or Shay” was quite a fun event, held on Friday November 13th at the Grand Ballroom of the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos. The event was star-studded as several of Nigeria’s top celebrities stepped out to celebrate with Seyi Shay. Banky W, Asa, Sound Sultan, Waje, Omawumi, Iyanya, Ubi Franklin, Fade Ogunro, Cynthia Morgan, Chidinma, Cobhams Asuquo, Sika Osei, Illrhymz, Jesse Jagz, Bolanle Olukanni, Toke Makinwa, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Latasha Ngwube, Emmanuel Ikubese, Omalicha, Yvonne ‘Vixen’ Ekwere, Marcy Dolapo Oni, Lilian Afegbai, Ehiz, Eva, Boj, Niyola, Tunde Demuren and many more were spotted at the event.

 Seyi Shay wowed the audience with track after track off her new album while dressed in a gorgeous white skirt suit by the Okunoren Twins and then later changed into a white jumpsuit. The night was closed out by Banky W and Iyanya who joined Seyi Shay on stage for a performance of the remix of her hit song “Right Now”.

This song ‘African Child’ was created to support the Child Life Line Initiative set up to support and help Children living on the streets. Waje Musik, TBWA Concepts and Child Life Line have come together to develop a Campaign called The Link Initiative. The song is produced by E-Kelly and was written by Iruobe Ebele and BK.

Famous Nigerian singer, Waje, has adopted a new name for herself. The 'I Wish' crooner whose real name is Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe, turned a year older on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 and on that note, the single mother of one wants her fans to call her by a new name. The excited celebrant shared her picture on Instagram and caption it; "Today, I have a new name. Feel free to call me ‘Victory’ because I have come out victorious at every stage of my life. I am a testimony of God’s goodness! Words fail me right now. “All I can say is thank You for the gift of life, love, family; new goals, new fire, new battles but to win because my name is ‘Victory’, a woman after God’s heart.” WAJE is an acronym for Words Aren’t Just Enough. The singer grew up in Benin City, Edo State. Her dad is from Edo, while her mum hails from Onitsha, Anambra State. Waje started singing when she was a young girl.

After dropping “Coco Baby“, Waje features Patoranking in this spanking new ragga tune titled “Left For Good“. This joint also features a violin performance by Godwin strings. This is the first single off her upcoming second album – “Red Note Blues“. Produced by E-Kelly, Waje’s skillful fusion of reggae, soul and haunting lyrics is outstanding on this tune.

Nigerian Reggae King, Patoranking was a year older on the 27th of May. The artiste however had the celebration over the weekend where a lot of his colleagues like Tu Face, Dr Sid, Wizkid, Waje, HarrySong, Kcee, DJ Xclusive, Praiz, Sound Sultan, Iyanya, Olu Maintain, Rugged Man, Lil Kesh came to party with him.

Other celebrities who also attended were Shina Peller, TeeBillz, TY Mixx , Patrick Elis, E Kelly amongst others. At the event, Patoranking was formally introduced to friends, family and industry colleagues as SKYY Vodka’s first African Ambassador. Patoranking was treated to a special birthday performance by fellow artistes, Tu Face, Praiz & Harry Song, while others shared touching kind words about the celebrity crooner. Guests were kept entertained by a live band performance as well as a DJ set by DJ Consequence. In addition, they enjoyed endless food and drinks.

Nigerian superstar singer extraordinaire, Waje, is back with the video for her new single, “No Be You,” a follow up to her previous song, “Onye” which featured Tiwa Savage. Produced by Cobhams, “No Be You” is the 8th single off Waje’s eponymous album W.A.J.E. The video was directed by FilmBoy and shot at Haven Homes in Lagos. It co-stars fast rising actor Deyemi Okanlawon of Ndani TV’s ‘Gidi Up’. For the shoot, Waje was styled by Fierce and Modish. The video will be released on Thursday, October 2nd.
