It’s unusual to see soul singer Asa get a little controversial. Asa has disassociated herself from GTBank and also regrets making a theme song “Place To Be” for the bank. The seasoned music queen made her regrets known via twitter. A supposed fan of hers thanked her for making the song and acknowledged it was beautiful. In a sharp contrast, Asa replied the twitter user with words of regret and how she doesn’t want to associate herself with the money deposit bank. These was her unedited reply to the twitter user.

The launch of Seyi Shay’s debut album “Seyi or Shay” was quite a fun event, held on Friday November 13th at the Grand Ballroom of the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.  Seyi Shay wowed the audience with track after track off her new album while dressed in a gorgeous white skirt suit by the Okunoren Twins and then later changed into a white jumpsuit. The night was closed out by Banky W and Iyanya who joined Seyi Shay on stage for a performance of the remix of her hit song “Right Now”.

Paris based superstar, Asa announced on Instagram this morning that she has been crowned Akan Queen of of Ivory Coast. But only for a few minutes. She was ‘crowned’ for a few minutes on Ivorian RTI TV as a mark of honour to appreciate her efforts at helping the country fight HIV.The singer has been in Ivory Coast the last couple of days. She performed at a concert there as her own contribution to helping the country fight AIDS, all proceeds from the concert will be donated to hospitals.

Multiple award winning French-Nigerian artist, ASA has kicked off rumours of a possible collaboration with The Mavins Dynasty after she payed a visit to Don jazzy Marvin studio.
