5 Talented Footballers Jose Mourinho destroyed at Chelsea

No doubt, ousted Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has been penned-down as one of the best football coaches that has graced planet earth. Not only is he regarded by a number of players, coaches, and commentators as one of the greatest and most successful managers in the world, the presence of ‘The Special One’ has electrified the football world especially for his antics and mind games. However, as good as Mourinho is, there are players his tactics almost ruined their career.

1. Daniel Sturridge: Sensational striker who currently plays for Liverpool FC. He felt “deprived” when he did not have the opportunity to express himself at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho.Luck came his way when Brendan Rodgers pulled his £12million master stroke in the transfer market and paired Sturridge with Luis Suarez. That combination got over 50 goals at the 2013/2014 season.

2. Mikel: Great Nigerian midfielder. John Michael Nchekwube Obinna, known as John Obi Mikel, joined Chelsea in 2006 months after he was adjudged the second most valuable player at the u-20 World Cup.The 28-year-old was an attacking midfielder, but with manager Mourinho’s first spell at Stamford Bridge, Mikel played in the midfield alongside Joe Cole, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Malouda and few others. With time, he occupied the defensive midfield for Chelsea but showed great scoring potentials whenever he was on national duty scoring a number of goals for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. However, the return of ‘The Special One’ condemned the Nigerian to bench for most part of the 2014/2015 season. With the sacking of Mourinho as Chelsea manager, interim coach, Guus Hiddink has rejuvenated Mikel’s game. With Chelsea’s 3 – 0 win away to Crystal Palace, Mikel was awarded the man of the match; an indication he is still a great player.

3. Juan Mata: Very skilful left-footer. The Spaniard won Chelsea’s Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013, playing a pivotal role for the Blues. However, at a point, Mourinho condemned Mata to bench for an awful long time an action which Chelsea fans considered unfair. At his exit at Stamford Bridge, The Special One apologised he did not make the Spainard “a better player”. He said: “I feel sorry that I didn’t make him happy, but football is football and I build a team around Oscar in that position,” Chelsea boss. Mata moved to Manchester United and has since beaten his Chelsea goal tally in 22 fewer matches for the Red Devils. The Spanish midfielder moved to Old Trafford in January 2014 for a hefty £37.1million and has made his mark at the Theatre of Dreams.

4. Juan Cuadrado: The Colombian star moved to Stamford Bridge for a reported £26 million with the hopes that his combination with Hazard will become a thorn in the flesh for defenders in England. Yet, the ‘Blues’ manager gave the former Fiorentina goal poacher little or no chance to showcase himself. The 27-year-old attacking maestro who is currently on a season-long loan with Juventus scored 20 goals for Fiorentina before joining Chelsea. However, under the ex Chelsea manager, Cuadrado only managed to appear 13 times in the 2014/2015 season with no goals; and in his new club Juventus, the Colombian has featured 14 times and has netted twice with the season just half way.

5. Petr Cech: The Czech goalkeeper completed a £10m switch to the Gunners after the continual use of new arrival, Thibaut Courtois, as he was forced to the bench. At his exit at Chelsea, Mourinho said: “Petr Cech has been a great servant for Chelsea for 11 years and helped this club to win almost everything there is to win.” “I always said I wanted him to stay but I understand Petr needed to move on to play first team football every week. At Arsenal, Cech has been a major force that has helped Arsene Wenger’s men to the top of the EPL table after 20 games. The 33-year-old has featured for the Gunners in 20 games and has been crucial for the club, making quite a number of great saves.

Jose Mourinho Calls Fine A Disgrace

Jose Mourinho has branded the Football Association decision to fine him a “disgrace”(read). The Chelsea boss had claimed officials were “afraid” to award his team penalties after referee Robert Madley denied the Blues a penalty in the 3-1 loss to Southampton at Stamford Bridge. “I’m happy I don’t have an electronic tag,” Mourinho claimed. “£50,000 is a disgrace. The possibility of getting a stadium ban is astonishing.”

Mourinho Fined For FA Comment

Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has been given a suspended one-match stadium ban and fined £50,000 by the Football Association otherwise known as FA for his comments about match officials. Jose Mourinho, Frank Lampard, Cristiano Ronaldo receive Guinness World Records Certificates

Some of sports biggest stars including Frank Lampard, Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo were all given the honour of being included in the new Guinness World Records book and it may comes as a surprise to see Chris Smalling handed two awards. New York City star Lampard was presented with his for the most Premier League teams scored against, after former club Chelsea became victim No 39. Legend Andy Cole previously held the record with 38, but the 37-year-old trumped him after coming off the bench for Manchester City to fire home a trademark strike at the Etihad Stadium. Lampard was delighted to be featured in the book and spoke about being a huge fan. He said: 'I set goals throughout my career to break records and this is one I never imagined to get. I am a big fan of the books and always read the books with my daughters before bed so to feature in it is amazing. 'It was a weird feeling when I scored but it did get me the record so I am also very happy with the goal.'

Jose Mourinho was the man in charge when Lampard broke his record but it's not all bad for the Chelsea boss, after he was awarded with four different awards. The Guinness World Records book team visited the Cobham training ground to present the 52-year-old with his certificates, which included: The most Points in a Premier League season (95), most Champions League's won at different clubs (two), youngest manager to reach 100 Champions League games (49 years 12 days) and most games unbeaten at home in the Premier League (77).  I'm now more focused on winning the next game than on what I've done in the last 10 or 15 years.'

Manchester United defender Smalling also bagged himself two records after scoring the fastest goal in the Premier League by a substitute from kick-off, when he netted against Burnley in just five minutes, nine seconds last season. He scored again to earn himself a second record, for the most goals in the Premier League scored by a substitute in the first half to join the likes of Lampard, Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo. Of course you can't forget Real Madrid star Ronaldo, who scored his 27th hat- trick in La Liga - overtaking club legend Alfredo Di Stefano - and is also the most followed athlete and person on both Facebook (over 100 million likes) and Twitter (over 27m followers).

Chelsea's Beautiful Doctor dumped after Mourinho blast

Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro is set to lose her place on the bench for Sunday's trip to Manchester City after criticism from manager Jose Mourinho. The Blues boss said his medical staff were "naive" for treating Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea. Carneiro will continue to be Chelsea's first-team doctor but her role at the club will be significantly changed, according to the Daily Telegraph. She will no longer attend matches or training sessions.

Carneiro will, however, continue to work with first-team players at Chelsea's Cobham training ground. Having had goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois sent off on 52 minutes, the Blues were later down to nine men for a period of Saturday's game after staff ran on to treat Hazard when he was tripped. If a player receives treatment on the pitch, he must leave the field. "I was unhappy with my medical staff. They were impulsive and naive," said Mourinho. "Whether you are a kit man, doctor or secretary on the bench you have to understand the game." Carneiro, who joined Chelsea in 2009, thanked people for their support on Monday. A club spokesman said: "We don't comment on internal staff matters."

We Don’t Miss Cech - Mourinho

The Blues will be forced to start Asmir Begovic after Thibaut Courtois was sent off against Swansea City, but the manager believes they will be fine without their former goalkeeper. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insisted the Premier League champions do not miss former shot stopper Petr Cech as back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic prepares to make his full debut for the club. Mourinho further insisted that ‘we dont miss petr cech because we’ve two other excellent goalkeepers’.

OFFICIAL:Drogba signs with Chelsea for second time

Didier Drogba will begin his second spell at Chelsea next season after agreeing a one-year deal with Jose Mourinho’s side. The 36-year-old striker and Blues favourite returns to Stamford Bridge after leaving in 2012 for stints at Shanghai Shenhua and Galatasaray. “It was an easy decision — I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work with Jose again,” Drogba said. “Everyone knows the special relationship I have with this club and it has always felt like home to me.”
Chelsea Lead Drogba became a free agent upon leaving Galatasaray at the end of last season so there is no transfer fee involved in the deal. The Ivorian marksman was named Chelsea’s greatest ever player in a poll of fans in 2012 after scoring 157 goals in 341 appearances. His last act in a Blues shirt was to rifle home the winning penalty in the shoot-out against Bayern Munich that seized the London club’s first Champions League crown two years ago. “My desire to win is still the same and I look forward to the opportunity to help this team,” Drogba said. “I’m excited for this next chapter of my career.”

Mourinho, who originally lured Drogba to Chelsea for £24million in 2004, insists the decision to re-sign the club’s fourth highest scorer of all time was not clouded by sentimentality. “Didier’s coming because he’s one of the best strikers in Europe, ” Mourinho said. “I know his personality very well and I know if he comes back he’s not protected by history or what he’s done for this club previously. He is coming with the mentality to make more history.”
