Afro-pop music star Lace releases the remix of his street-hop hit “Aiye Mami” which was released last year. The hot remix features Mavin Records act and 2014 Headies “Rookie of the Year” award winner Reekado Banks and iconic indigenous artiste Pasuma. “Aiye Miami” was produced by super talented ace producer, Bazetu Beats and was mixed and mastered by renowned music engineer, Suka Sounds. The music video for the hit remix was directed by H2G Films.

According to City People Magazine, Pastor Toyin Ogundipe, who is in charge of Province 20 of the Redeemed Church, paid Pasuma to perform at a crusade. The crusade titled, “Lagos Island Family Areas Forum” was slated to hold between Friday, October 23rd- Sunday 25th, 2015. But the church, through its provincial headquarters on Lagos Island, cancelled it due the criticism that followed the invitation of the Fuji musician.

On the poster, which was leaked by those working at the Printing Press where it’s being printed, Pasuma’s picture appeared alongside gospel singer, Tope Alabi and a former band leader of the late Fela Anikulapo’s Egypt 80 band, Kereke Jike. The pastor was later suspended. In an interview with City People, Pasuma declared that although the church’s management paid for the show, it is never done to expect him to return the money, he said: “The fault is not ours, we were ready to perform for them until we learnt of the cancelation of the crusade.”….. n thus deny many area boys d opportunity to “ligali” in d presence of d lord.

Fuji singer, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma is the surprise special guest artiste at a three-day outdoor crusade organized by The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 20. The singer will mount the stage at the event scheduled for October 23 to 25 at the notorious Lagos Island neighbourhood of Martins Street around Oluwole Car Park, Lagos. Popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi is another guest artiste scheduled to perform at the three-day outdoor event.
A source revealed that the invitation of the Fuji singer is a strategy to lead the souls of area boys and touts in the notorious neighbourhood to Christ. Conservative Christians may frown at the invitation of what they may term as a secular musician to perform on a church alter. Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has revealed why he decided to record a full hip hop album under his self owned record company, Wasbar Records. The 47-years old singer noted that hip hop genre of music is trending on the Nigerian music scene, thus, his reason for deciding to release a record from the genre. The album, which has hit singles that include Ogede Ti Pon, Ife and Oruka has seen the singer collaborating with music acts that include Olamide and Tiwa Savage amidst others.
Read Pasuma speaks on Fuji, Hip Hop music in Nigeria Speaking to The Punch, Pasuma said, 'The reason is simple; it is because hip-hop is currently trending. Besides, hip-hop is not a strange genre of music to me. I have been doing hip-hop for a while and I have collaborated with the pioneers of modern day hip-hop in Nigeria, speaking of people like Eedris Abdulkareem, Tuface, and 9ice. I sangJealousy with the Remedies in 1997, so it is not an unfamiliar terrain for me. Continuing, he said further, 'I decided to do a hip-hop album because my fans have been clamouring for it. I have been on this project for about three years but could not complete it on time because of my busy schedule. I feel this is the right time to tidy everything up and release the album.'
On quitting Fuji music for Hip Hop, the singer waved the thoughts aside and challenged his peers to try outdo him by recording a solely hip hop album. 'I don’t think there is anyone that can scare me when it comes to fuji music. Everybody knows that in the fuji industry, I am on top. I dare anyone to try what I am doing; they should endeavour to succeed in both the fuji and hip-hop genres. What I have done only shows that I am versatile; leaving my comfort zone to try my hands on another genre and I am making a breakthrough there as well. If any fuji artiste thinks I have been threatened to the extent of changing my genre, then they should also come and make a hip-hop album.' he explained.

Just when you think you’ve heard it all, Fuji Star, Pasuma shows there’s more to his dexterity in music than you’ve heard. Exactly two weeks after dropping his duet with dance-hall act, Patoranking, the fuji star is back with yet another melodious tune. This time it’s a beautiful love song titled ‘Oruka’ produced by Dj Toxiq. With the new song, the Fuji star has again shown how versatile he can be with other genres of music as he stays on course towards dropping his much anticipated pop album on July 30th 2015.

According to his manager Afolabi Oyekoya “Oruka is love song with the kind of rhythm you never expect from an artiste Like Pasuma.. the video of the song will be shot in Lagos next week by ace music video director Clarence Peters. Right now, we have recorded 14 songs and the full album will be released on Thursday July 30 2015.
