BlackBerry SETS 27 June release date for BBM on iOS, Android

Though BlackBerry is expanding its reach and supporting more devices, BBM for Android and iOS will be quite limited compared to what's available on BlackBerry 10. BBM on BB10 supports instant messaging, group chat, video calls, audio calls, photo or location sharing, and live screencasting. The Android and iOS version will support only one-on-one instant messaging. That's not nearly as attractive as the BlackBerry 10 experience, or even up to par with what other messaging services like Kik, GroupMe, and Viber offer; however, BlackBerry says that it will work to deliver many updates to make BBM a more valuable communication app for Android and iOS users.
