Friday August 16,2013 will remain in the hearts of the guests who conveyed at GRACE PLACE to witness the fifth anniversary of QUEEN OF TRUST beauty pageant but will endlessly remain in the heart of MISS REGINA USHENE who won the prestigious award that night.In this interview, she spoke about her project and many more things.READ THE COMPLETE INTERVIEW BELOW:
247tops:Congratulations on your enthronement as the new Queen of Trust International.Lets get to know you better?
Miss Regina Ushene:Thank you for having me.I want to thank God for making me achieve one of dreams as a child.Am Regina Ushene,am from Anambra state and also a student of UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR.
247tops:We heard you recently visited your neighbourhood.How was the reception?
Miss Regina Ushene:I never expected such reception because only few people knew about my participation in the just concluded pageant.
247tops:What is your recent accomplishment in life?
Miss Regina Ushene:In life i have seen and conquered many challenges which is one of the reasons i participated in this pageant.I have also accomplished many goals but winning the pageant is the most memorable one.
247tops:80% of pageant queens revealed that they never thought of wearing the crown.Did you have this dream as a child?
Miss Regina Ushene:Yes i have always wanted that crown as child.
247tops:Do you have any projects.How do you intend to execute them?
Miss Regina Ushene:I have many projects in mind but right now am going to start with the fight against malaria because that is common in the rural areas.Am already working with some organizations who are willing to support this project.
247tops:At what point do you think a girl becomes a woman?
Miss Regina Ushene:When she attains puberty and can differentiate between good and bad elements.
247tops:Same sex marriages,child abuse and the recent bill submitted by the the Nigerian legislators to approve child marraige.What do you like to see done to change these acts?
Miss Regina Ushene:These acts are also condemned in the Bible and shouldn't be practice in Nigeria or any where in the world.The Nigerian laws are against same sex marriage but also need to implement strict penalties for child abusers.
247tops:This is the fifth Year this pageant has been organized and we can testify that 001 ENTERTAINMENT has set quality standard for PAGEANTRY in the state.But behind every successful story there must be criticism.We have heard about their strict policies for example,few hours to the grand finale a queen was drooped due to alleged misconduct and breach of contract.What do you have to say to that?
Miss Regina Ushene:If you are successful and you don't have critics around you then it means you are not doing well.For example,my friend's attitude changed the day i won the pageant.She no longer picks my call and it seems she has been avoiding me.001 ENTERTAINMENT has its own rules and regulations just like any other firms and i don't think they are that demanding.But nevertheless am here to change all that and to create an enabling environment for myself and my successors.
247tops:Many of the contestants after the official visit to the orphanges pledged to split their money fairly if they were to be the winner.Were you among the them and have you redeemed your pledge?
Miss Regina Ushene:Yes i also said that and i have shared the prize money equally and would be sending part of it to the less privileged next month.
247tops:I don't want to start mentioning names but it seems as if most pageant winners break up their long relationships for ridiculous reasons.How are you going to tackle this problem?
Miss Regina Ushene:Thats personally.
247tops:Which delicacy can you cook best?
Miss Regina Ushene:Afam Soup
247tops:If you were to invite a celebrity for dinner,who would that be?
Miss Regina Ushene:That would be MISS AGBANI DAREGO because she is my mentor and also i have few questions to ask her.
247tops:How do relax during leisure hours?
Miss Regina Ushene:Before winning the pageant i watch movies but for the past few days i haven't really had time for myself because its been from one engagement to another but i plan on making out time for myself.
247tops:How do you intend to manage your personality in school?
Miss Regina Ushene:Smiles.According to the saying 'when we get to the bridge we shall cross it'.
247tops:If you are to change one thing in the world,what would that be?
Miss Regina Ushene:Stop the fight.
