247tops:Kindly tell us about yourself Sir?
Mr.Mutiu Fataion:Am Mr Mutiu Salute Fataion, from osun state, a graduate of Theatre Arts, O.A.U.The eldest in my family.
247tops:MUFNET RECORDZ is one of the biggest labels in Niger Delta,how did it all started?
Mr.Mutiu Fataion:MUFNET RECORDZ was founded 24 July,2010 but we start officially started business November 2012 and signed our first artiste HD BABA that month.
247tops:What prompted you to create a record label?
Mr.Mutiu Fataion:I decided to create a Label because while i was Nollywood as a costume designer,i happen to see lots of talented imminent musicians neglected due to their inability to provide huge amount of money to sponsor their careers.
247tops:How many acts have you signed into your label?
Mr.Mutiu Fataion:The Label signed four artistes HD BABA, MR ALIC, P-BENI and MC OBYNO.But MC OBYNO has just been dismissed due to him not respecting the Label's decisions and we have decided to replace him with SNAZZY N because MUFNET RECORDZ will not be signing any artiste in the next 3 years.
247tops:It's funny that MC OBYNO is the only act who happens to be off dress code and ends up been the one that eliminated from the group.HD BABA would be dropping his debut album next week(September 14),is this the first album that the label has ever launched?
Mr.Mutiu Fataion:Yes
247tops:Seems the launch is going to be massive since its the debut album for both MUFNET RECORDZ and HD BABA.What are we expecting?
Mr.Mutiu Fataion:First of all,HD BABA and P-BENI are gospel acts and its a gospel album therefore the presence of the Lord will be felt.Secondly its free and guests will be thrilled with performances from AFY DOUGLAS, IKE D COMBOPHONIST, JESUS BOY, MI2, P-BENI, SIMPLE D, P ZEALOUS, GIDIONITE, PURE SAINT, D IMPACT, OVIE WADIYORO, PRINCE HEZEKIAH n lots more.
