BET has announced the nominees for the 2014 BET Awards.
Mavin First Lady Tiwa Savage and O.B.O Davido alongside South Africa’s Mafikizolo, Sarkodie of Ghana, Toofan of Togo and Diamond Platnumz of Tanzania were nominated in the Best International Act: Africa category.
Beyoncé and Jay Z take the lead with four nominations each. Beyoncé is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration ("Drunk In Love"), and Video of the Year twice ("Partition," "Drunk In Love").
Besides being nominated alongside Beyoncé for Video of the Year and twice for Best Collaboration, Jay is also nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist.
Drake, Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams and August Alsina follow behind with three nominations each. The host for the BET Awards will be announced tonight (May 14) during 106 & Park at 6pm EST.
The award show will air live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, June 29 at 8pm EST.
