The nominees list for 9th Annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards was released last week. The NEA’s was created to celebrate and promote the talent in the Nigerian entertainment industry in addition to the image and culture of Nigeria. This year’s ceremony will take place at the Skirball Center Performing Arts, New York on the 31st August.
Tiwa Savage and Davido are this year’s most nominated acts at the upcoming Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA).The ‘Eminado’ and ‘Aye’ singers have five nods each including a nom for the ‘Hottest single of the year’ award along with KCEE, Dr SID, Oritse Femi, StarBoy and J Martins. Tiwa and Davido are closely followed by Mavin Records producer Don Jazzy, Highlife singer Flavour and Pop singer Wizkid, who all have four nominations each, while Olamide, Patoranking, Chidinma and Oritse Femi follow with three nods each.
In the film category, the film Accident and Finding Mercy both reigned with three nominations each. The film Accidentbagged nominations for Best Actress in Lead Role for Chioma Chukwuka, Best Picture and Best Director. Desmond Elliot bagged multiple awards as Director of Finding Mercy and for his role in the movie for Best Supporting Actor.Here are the list of nominee:
