Nigeria made Africa proud last night by winning against Bosnia-Herzegovina in their second match of the ongoing World Cup in Brazil. Super Eagles striker, Osaze Odemwingie put a goal behind the opponent’s keeper in the 28th minute, sending the whole of Africa into a frenzy – and that include the President of the most populous black nation, Goodluck Jonathan.
From Bosnia’s disallowed offside goal which will surely be a source of controversy to the extra time goal opportunity which was deftly saved by Nigerian goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, President Jonathan could not hide his excitement as he watched the nail-biting match with a host of aides, including Mr. Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, at the Aso Rock Villa cheering the team to victory.
On other news,Peter Odemwingie dedicated the goal he brilliantly scored in the Nigeria-Bosnia match to his newborn son.
