Nigeria's neighbour, Ghana, has made a most notorious history as it has beaten the likes of Jamaica and USA to become the country with the most Indian Hemp smokers in the world.
According to a survey conducted by World Drug Report, the West African nation was named as the world 'Igbo' smoking leaders with 2.8 million Ghanaians out of about the 25,000,000 million population being active weed smokers and likely to get high on a daily basis, a whopping 11.2% of the populace.
In the report carried by Ghanaian top website, OMG Ghana, other countries that came under the same study included Jamaica, USA, Nigeria and the Netherlands but none of these countries came close to the former Gold Coast in terms of daily weed takers. The report has it that while usage in the U.S. rose after some marijuana legalization began in 2012, it’s still under 10%. Ghana still comes out on top even though marijuana consumption is illegal in the country.
