President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the award of national honours to a total of 305 “Nigerians and friends of Nigeria” in various categories for the 2013/2014 national honours award. Most Valuable Player at the last FIFA U17 World Cup, and Manchester City youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho will receive a national award from President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan on September 29, in Abuja. Also included in the awards list are, highest goal scorer and MVP at the 2014 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, Asisat Oshoala, and captain of the side, Patience Okaeme. Also on the list of recipients of the national award are other members of the conquering Golden Eaglets class of 2013, as well as coaches and backroom staff of the team.
