President Jonathan Congratulates HID Awolowo on 99th Birthday

The wife of late Nigerian Hero, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Mrs Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo cebebrates her 99th birthday today. President Goodluck Jonathan monday felicitated with Chief Hannah Dideolu Awolowo on her 99th birthday anniversary billed for tuesday. In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, Jonathan and his family joined millions of admirers of the late nationalist, renowned political leader and sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, in wishing his “Jewel of Inestimable Value” a very happy birthday celebrations.

The president prayed that God Almighty will grant Mrs. Awolowo many more years of worthy service as the matriarch and moral compass of the great Awolowo political dynasty which continues to play a commendable role in national development and progress. The president said he was looking forward to personally participating in the celebration of Mrs. Awolowo’s landmark 100th birthday next year to honour the highly-revered spouse of one of Nigeria’s famous founding fathers. He prayed that God Almighty who has blessed her with remarkable longevity, will grant her continued good health and very a memorable birthday celebration.
