APC Presidential Candidate Buhari Joins Twitter

The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2015 general election, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) has finally joined Twitter with handle @ThisIsBuhari.
The former leader of Nigeria posted his first tweet(pictured below) with his subsequent tweets which thanked party supporters and volunteers as well as Atiku Abubakar, his strongest challenger at the recently held All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primaries.

Within six hours of enlisting, the Presidential candidate of the APC had garnered a followership of 12,000. By 9 p.m. on Monday, the retired general had amassed over 14,000 followers. While his official URL is www.thisisbuhari.com, his social media handle on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube is @thisisbuhari.

Buhari recently emerged candidate for the contest under the banner of the APC, the country's major opposition party. Last week, Buhari selected as his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Attorney General, and his campaign director, Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
