A farmer in Kilifi, Kenya, had no option but to send his newly born baby goat with two heads to livestock officials to protect it from neighbours who threaten to kill it.
The Farmer, Kahaso Ngumbao, told Journalists that his neighbours come to his house and warned him that, they would kill the goat if he did not do it himself.
According to him, they believe the two-headed kid is a bad omen.
He said the kid's mother has given birth to 13 sets of twins.
The fourteenth time it gave birth to a single kid.
"During the (fifteenth) delivery, I saw two heads and thought it was the normal twins coming together, but unfortunately after delivery the heads were intact," Ngumbao said. He asked the Agriculture ministry to rescue the animal. Kilifi Agriculture chief officer Baha Nguma reassured the farmer, saying "this incident may seem to be new to you, but it has been happening in other parts of the country and the world." Nguma told Ngumbao to closely monitor the kid as it is difficult for it to stay on its own, allafrica, com reported.
