The world’s tallest drum has been unveiled in Osogbo, Osun State to flag off activities for the New Year by the Centre for Black Culture and International Understandings.
The event held on the 15th of January, 2013 and had in attendance several dignitaries, Governor Aregbesola’s entourage including his Deputy, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori; Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and residents of Osogbo.
The ‘drum was unveiled by Governor Aregbesola and Nobel Literature laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, who recently lost his 48-year old daughter.
