Yemi Alade and Wizkid have made the cut on the newly released BET Awards 2015 Nomination list. The Nigerian acts who have had a spectacular are up for the award in the Best International Act:
Africa category. Yemi Alade and Wizkid will come up against competition from a number of stellar African acts including South Africa’s AKA, Ghana’s Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, Kenyan Sauti Sol, South Africa’s The Soil, and DR Congo’s Makossa King, Fally Ipupa.

Tied with six nominations apiece, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj top the list of nominees for the 2015 BET Awards. Beyoncé and Lil Wayne follow with four nominations each, while Sam Smith scores two nominations. Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the BET Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. ET. See the full list of nominees below.
