Photos: Basketmouth receives Recognition Certificate from Texas House of Representatives

Basketmouth (Bright Okpocha) was honoured early this month when the Mayor of the City of Houston, Texas, released a statement and declared July 17th Basketmouth Day. The honour from the Mayor, Annise D. Parker, was for his contribution in “integrating the Nigerian American Community through his art for the past 6 years in Houston.”

But yesterday was even more emotional for the star, as he revealed that the 18th Congressional District of Texas of the United States House of Representatives issued him a Certificate of Congressional Recognition for his work, especially for uniting the Nigerians in Texas through his various shows.
