The Nigerian Senate has cleared some of the ministerial nominees President Muhammadu Buhari wants in his cabinet. Former governors of Ekiti and Abia states were among those cleared by the Upper Chamber on Tuesday. Other nominees approved was the former senator, representing Akwa Ibom South Constituency, Udoma Udoh Udoma and former chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Audu Ogbeh. Also cleared is the nominee from Edo State, Dr Osagie Ehanire and Abdulrahman Dambazzau. Ten nominees in all will be screened today. Others appear at the Senate on Wednesday and Thursday.
