Alicia Keys to perform in Champions League final

UEFA have announced that American pop star, Alicia Keys will perform at the Champions League final in Italy next month. Keys will be the first-ever musical act to perform as a part of the opening ceremony for the final which will hold at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan. Speaking on the performance, the 35-year-old who is working on her new album refused to reveal her set list for the performance which will be aired in about 220 countries.

“I have to leave it as a surprise for sure `cause that's ... part of the fun of it,” Keys is quoted to say by Daily Mail. “It's pretty insane. I know there is going to be 80,000 people there in person and people are all over the world are going to witness it and watch this and celebrate.” The ‘Girl on Fire’ singer is also looking forward to return to Italy where she calls her home. “My mother's family is from Italy, so whenever I go, I always feel the most loved,' Keys said. 'I feel like it's a homecoming of love in a lot of ways.” The Champions League final will be played on Saturday, May 28 at 7:45 pm Nigerian time. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are all in the running to play in the final.
