According to a report released by FIFA, Manchester United winger, Antonio Valencia is the fastest footballer in the world after the Ecuadorian was recorded to have run an incredible 35.1 km/h during a competitive game this season. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale and Arjen Robben are well known for their speed but only one of the above mentioned players was able to make the top three.

Bale came second on the list with an average speed of 34.7 km/h while on-loan Tottenham winger, Aaron Lennon came third with a recorded speed of 33.8 km/h. Valencia is a right sided winger but he has been forced to play out of position for United this season particularly on the right side of the defense due to injuries.
