Tanzanian act, Nasibu Abdul Juma, popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz has been named as by MTV as the winner of the 2015 MTV EMAs Best African Act. Scores of music fans visited mtvema.com to vote for Diamond Platnumz, who beat incredible competition from AKA, Yemi Alade, Davido, and DJ Arafat. Diamond Platnumz will now go up against the winning act from India to be named Best Africa/India Act – and you can help him win. Voting is now open on mtvema.com until 24 October at 10:59pm. Diamond Platnumz follows in the footsteps of previous Best African Act winners Sauti Sol (2014), LCNVL (2013), D’Banj (2012 & 2007), Freshlyground (2006) and 2Face (2005).
